IMPACT AWARE™Online Golf Improvement Program

Not in Florida? Not a problem. Our online video lessons will provide a means of accessing the IMPACT AWARE™ information and apply it to your game.

Our instructors use Ubersense as the platform for Online Instruction. Ubersense currently offers a free download for the app usable on an ipad. (At this time an Android application is not available, though the website indicates it is in production and expected to launch in 2014.)

Following are some helpful hints to get you started:

Downloading the Ubersense Golf Coach on your ipad, iphone, or ipod

• Access the Apple App Store
  
• Search "Ubersense"
• Download the "Golf Coach & Swing Analysis
• If you experience issues, please check to make sure the "generation" of your device is supported by the Golf Coach application

When you first open the app, you will be asked to go through a series of steps that include playing a video (regular and slow motion) and several others. Click through this section to reach the video section.

Recording Tips from the Ubersense Golf Coach App:

Basics:

• Tap the screen to re-focus the camera
• Keep the camera as steady as possible. Usse a tripod or alignment stick holder if necessary. Propping against a solid object works great.
• Make Sure there is plenty of light when filming (outdoor sunlight is optimal). This will reduce motion blur.

Recording Yourself

• In the recording screen press the options button and turn on the 10 second delay. This will allow you time to set up after you press record.
• Turn the camera to the front facing camera so you can see yourself set up on the screen and align yourself properly.
• Prop your device on a tripod, alignment stick or your golf bag to record.

Recording Others

• Down the line view: stand 5-8 feet behind the golfer and aligned with the golfer's toe line.
• Face on view: stand 5-8 feet across from the golfer and aligned with player's chest
• Make sure the camera is held steady and there is plenty of lighting

After reading the instructions within the app, you will move to record view. Please note the icons on the bottom right of the screen. 
Options allows for right- and left-handed alignment through an on-screen image. This is also where you will find the 10 second delay feature.
Image allows for access directly to the on-screen alignment image (or turn it off).
Camera allows for photos.

The Settings icon provides access to additional training under Support and Feedback that you will find helpful. It is our strong suggestion that you spend a bit of time familiarizing yourself with the Training Tools available on the Ubersense Golf Coach app. 

• The higher quality video you submit, the more effective the feedback!
  

Once the video is complete, you will be able to select the club used and "tag" the video (name). The Videos tab will hold your videos grouped by club and player.
