Where to Go From Here
Center Contact is one of the Five Ball Flight Laws (Wiren, 1990) and is considered the FIRST ELEMENT to master on your journey to Golfing Excellence.
IMPACT AWARE™ Golf instructors will guide you through the remaining four Ball Flight Laws to expand upon your knowledge base. After all, you can only do what you know how to do and you will only do it the way you know how. So, learning the most effective and efficient “How” sets the stage for an extraordinarily successful, enduring, and personally satisfying golfing experience.
Despite advances in golf equipment, Golf Channel Solutions reports that average golf scores haven't changed much over the years: the average for all golfers playing an 18-hole course is 100 (Men 97; Women 114). Only 6 percent of men and 1 percent of women break 80; the average handicap is 20 with only 20% of golfers even maintaining a handicap. (livestrong.com)
Most golfers have formed poor club movement habits that are the root cause of their inconsistency. The basis of these habits is their “swing thoughts,” the source of which is their (or someone else’s) impression of what a “golf swing” is or should be. At Impact Aware Golf™, our concept is that body movement is driven by intended golf club movement:

If you are learning or playing golf on the basis of “swing parts” you are doing yourself an injustice. The preceding information demonstrates why keying on swing parts to drive your performance on the golf course is like playing roulette in Vegas… “Come on red #3!!” Believing that “Maybe this time keeping my head down will work” is truly a gamble! When you consider the magnitude of body parts in the human body (at least 250 joints and 640 muscles, depending on your “expert”) and the number of potential thoughts therein, the odds go up that much more.
While some swing methods contain a thread of truth and seemingly produce measurable results, they are, at best, fleeting. THE FACT IS — not all swing thoughts are worthy of your attention. That’s why it’s important to focus only on the key elements that have proven successful – time after time.
